Connecticut Valley

Fresh air and open space were central themes throughout the design and construction of this new contemporary farmhouse. In fact, we were initially contacted when our NYC-based clients stumbled on an image of a simple and serene screened porch from a previous design. It was just what they hoped to create for their new countryside escape. Designed almost completely remotely and built throughout pandemic isolation, the house combines local architectural vernacular with the aesthetic of a vibrant and global young family. We selected fixtures and furnishings that celebrate the panoramic valley views from the picture windows and planned layouts designed to highlight comfort and the joy of gathering.
